A hybrid DNA construct comprises a first DNA sequence encoding part of the extracellular domain of a first cellular receptor and a second DNA sequence encoding part of the extracellular domain of a second cellular receptor which is specific for a different ligand than the first receptor. The hybrid receptor encoded by this DNA construct may, for instance, be used to localize the ligand-binding site of a cellular receptor or to screen for ligands or ligand antagonists. |
