A process for the suspension ploymerization of a vinylic compound by using a dispersant comprising a polyvinyl ester terminated with an ionic group or a polyvinyl alcohol with a degree of saponification of 90 mole % or less, prepared by saponifying the polyvinyl ester. The process provides particles of a vinylic polymer having a sharp particle diameter distribution, a high specific gravity of packing, a high capacity of absorbing plasticizers, and a reduced content of residual vinyl monomers. |
