abstract Apparatus for mounting electrodes (10) on a human body in order to obtain human biosignals is disclosed. The apparatus includes close fitting clothing apparatus (70), a plurality of electrodes (10) mounted to the close fitting clothing apparatus (70), removable cover sheet (12) apparatus for providing a sterile interface between the skin and at least one of the electrodes and joining apparatus for joining the removable cover sheet apparatus to at least one of the plurality of electrodes. A variety of applications of the apparatus are also disclosed, including apparatus for detecting drowsiness in a subject and for alerting the subject as a result and a fetal biosignal probe.
