Hydrophobic nucleic acid probe |
abstract |
A process is disclosed for immobilizing a polynucleotide possessing a hydrophobic moiety on a terminal nucleotide onto a solid substrate that permits only end-point attachment, thereby allowing the polynucleotide to be fully available for hybridization. This method of polynucleotide attachment overcomes the prior art problem of multi-site and internal attached sites of polynucleotide to the substrate. |
