abstract An ultraviolet absorbing cosmetic of the invention contains a cyclic imino ester, has excellent ultraviolet absorbing properties and good water resistance, is difficultly soluble in organic solvents, fats and sebum, and is stable and less stimulates the skin. This cosmetic can be applied to the skin without forming erythema thereon even when the skin is exposed to sunlight for a long period of time and can prevent the skin from aging.
