Catalysts for olefin and paraffin conversion |
abstract |
A catalyst for converting paraffins, olefins or mixtures of both into a hydrocarbon product rich in aromatics and a gas of high energy content. The catalyst comprises a crystalline gallium-silicate of the ZSM-5 family and is prepared from a gallo-silicate gel. The gel has a silica to gallia mole ratio lying in the range between 80 and 115 and a silica to alumina mole ratio greater than 100. The gas of high energy content is a gaseous hydrocarbon having a high energy content per unit volume. |
