Interferon gamma composition to suppress immune system |
abstract |
An improved method is provided that allows the continued administration of monoclonal antibodies in immunotherapy and immunodiagnosis. The procedure avoids the problem of anti-monoclonal sensitization by using interferon-gamma as an immunosuppressive agent prior to, and/or during, the course of treatment with monoclonal antibody. Further, an interferon-gamma composition is set forth employing an amount sufficient to suppress the patient's immune response, useful for patients undergoing immunodiagnostic or immunotherapeutic procedures. |
