abstract This invention relates to an aromatic heat-transfer fluid composition comprising diphenyl ether, terphenyl and at least one additional aromatic compound. An example of such a composition is a blend of terphenyl with a eutectic mixture of diphenyl ether and biphenyl. Unlike known heat-transfer fluid compositions, the present aromatic heat-transfer fluid composition has a low freezing point and is stable at high temperatures.
