titleOfInvention Tanks for vertical electrophoresis
abstract The electrophoresis tanks are intended for migration media vertically located between two heat-conducting plates which are not electrically conductive, one of which is immersed in an anolyte and the other in a catholyte. Said tanks have a tank body composed of walls (1), comprising separations (2) with apertures (3) with a vertical periphery between the compartments (4) which they separate, and/or comprising walls (1) with apertures (3) the vertical periphery of which limits two compartments (4) which communicate by their surface. Said apertures may be closed by sandwich structures (5), consisting of a migration medium between two plates, applied at the level of the latter on one side of the separations (2) or on the inner side of the walls (1), the periphery of the sandwich structure (5) on the periphery of the apertures (3) with or without an inserted seal (6). Maintained by a suitable device (7), each sandwich structure (5) separates two compartments (4), the anode and cathode compartments, the electrolytes (8) of which wet each of its faces.
