Coating substances contain as essential binder components an acrylate resin A) with hydroxyl, carboxyl and tertiary amino groups and as cross-linking agent B) polyisocyanates. The acrylate resin A) is produced by copolymerization of 10 to 40 % by weight, preferably 15 to 35 % by weight of hydroxyalkyl ester alpha, beta-unsaturated carboxylic acid, of 0.1 to 8 % by weight, preferably 0.5 to 4 % by weight of ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acids and of 60 to 90 % by weight of other monomers with a polymerizable, olefinically unsaturated double bond. The acrylate copolymer thus obtained is then converted with compounds (G) that contain per molecule preferably one free isocyanate group and at least one tertiary amino group. These coating substances contain also organic solvents, if necessary pigments, fillers and usual additives, and if necessary a cross-linking catalyzer. A process is disclosed for producing these coating substances and their use for car repair lacquering as clear lacquer, as pigmented covering lacquer or as clear lacquer on a base lacquer for metal pigmented double-layer lacquers applied by a wet-in-wet process. |
