A method for the production of aprotinin or certain aprotinin homologues in yeast has been developed. The homologues of aprotinin are preferably such lacking one or two amino acid residues at the N-terminal end and having the basic amino acid residue in position 41 and/or 42 replaced by a non-basic amino acid residue, e.g. a serine residue. |
