abstract |
A flexible shield (20) for covering an article and attenuating the flux of electromagnetic radiation relative to the article includes a polymeric matrix charged with an attenuating filler (22). The shield has a transmission attenuation factor of at least 50 % determined with reference to an X-ray beam of 100 KV, a hardness of less than about 100 Shore ''00'' and a coefficient of friction relative to the article of at least 0.15. |
