titleOfInvention Injection molding method
abstract An injection molding method for obtaining a molded product of a foamed resin by adding to a molten resin a foaming agent (32), which is capable of being foamed at a predetermined temperature and in a predetermined period of hold time and then injecting the resultant mixture into a mold (19, 111, 207). That part of the foaming agent (32) which is injected together with the molten resin into the mold (19, 111, 207), which contacts the inner surface thereof and which is then quenched, does not undergo a foaming reaction but is solidified unitarily with the resin to furnish the resultant molded product with a beautiful appearance. That part of the molten resin which is out of contact with the mold is kept cooled, and the temperature thereof is hardly lowered, so that the foaming agent is foamed and the foaming pressure causes the molten resin to be expanded from the inner side thereof. Owing to this expansion, the occurrence of sink can be prevented when the resin shrinks while it is being cooled.
