titleOfInvention Switch using superconductivity
abstract A switch makes use of the superconductivity and semiconductor properties of a material. A section (3) of the switch comprises a material of this type maintained (4-10) in a superconducting state. The superconductivity is stopped (13-14) in order to open the circuit at the site of the section. The superconductivity effect can be prevented by applying a coercive magnetic excitation in a direction parallel to the planes of superconductivity of the crystals of the material constituting the section.
