abstract A resin composition for scroll type compressor members and a process for manufacturing scroll type compressor parts by injection molding of the composition are disclosed. The composition comprises: (A) about 40 to about 70 parts by weight of at least one thermoplastic resin selected from among polyphenylene sulfide, polyether ether ketone, polyether ketone, wholly aromatic polyester, nylon 46, nylon MXD6, polysulfone, polyallyl sulfone, polyether sulfone, polyether imide, polyamideimide and polyimide; (B) about 15 to about 45 parts by weight of whisker of about 3 mum or less in average fiber diameter and about 10000 kgf/mm2 or more in tensile modulus; (C) about 10 to about 25 parts by weight of heat-resistant fibers of about 30 mum or less in average fiber diameter and about 6500 kgf/mm2 or more in tensile modulus; and (D) about 5 to 20 parts by weight of a powdery solid lubricant, with the sum of the ingredients (A) to (D) being 100 parts by weight.
