abstract |
A thermosettable adhesive composition which has excellent cohesive strength when activated and cured. The composition is comprised of a dimer acid based amine-terminated polyamide and an acidic ethylene copolymer comprised of repeating units derived from a major amount of ethylene and a minor amount of one or more alpha,beta-ethylenically unsaturated acids, the composition being adhesively crosslinked. These adhesives are especially useful in sealing a heat-recoverable closure to a substrate after the closure has been caused to recover about the substrate. |
