titleOfInvention Process for obtaining hydrochloric salts of 2,5,6-triamino-4(1h)-pyrimidinone
abstract In order to obtain hydrochloric salts of 2,5,6 triamino-4(1H)-pyrimidinone (CAS-Nr. 51 325-37-9), presenting only a minimum ratio of foreign organic compounds, by reaction of the reduction product of 2,6 diamino-5-nitroso-4(1H)-pyrimidinone with hydrogen chloride, the process is carried out at a temperature of at least 60oC, in a reaction medium comprising water, hydrogen chloride and isopropyl alcohol with such proportions that the concentration of isopropyl alcohol is at least 20% by weight.
