abstract | A driver circuit (10) which is responsive to an input AC voltage for providing a drive signal to a load circuit (12) for each activation of a switch (20). A triggering signal generated by a trigger circuit (22) in response to the activation of the switch (20) energizes a timing circuit (24) during a negative cycle of the input voltage. A control signal from the timing circuit (24) energizes a firing conduit (26) for a selected time period. The drive signal is applied to the load circuit (12) during the time interval in which the firing circuit (26) is energized by the timing circuit (24). |
