An elongated medical apparatus, particularly an endoscope, designed for examining or treating body cavities, is provided with an insertion aid device (1) built according to the principle of a tubular turning up formation. The insertion aid device (1) is comprised of a tube (2) opened at both ends, with a side discharge connector (3) and a flexible tubular formation (4), which turns up and traverses the tube (2). Both ends (5, 6) of the tubular formation are respectively connected to an end (7, 8) of the tube (2), the medical apparatus (9) traversing the tube (2) inside the tubular formation (4) and the tubular formation (4) being folded into a plurality of double layers in the region (10) of the distal end (11) of the medical apparatus (9). |
