titleOfInvention Method and device for extracting proteins from vegetable materials
abstract After passage in a metering device (10), the vegetable materials are supplied to the grinding and milling device (16) where the vegetable materials are crushed, ground and partially dejuiced. The crushed material thus obtained is filtered in a first filter (17) so as to provide a liquid phase and a solid phase: the solid phase is transformed in granulated material by passing it through a drying and granulating device (20) and the liquid phase is first supplied to a coagulation device (24) to coagulate the residual material; said coagulated material is then filtered from the residual liquid in a second filter (27); the dry material provided from the first liquid phase is granulated by passing in a second drying and granulating device (29). The disclosed method allows, as shown by comparison with the preservation methods known heretofore, to preserve substantially completely the vegetable proteins contained in the row vegetable material; furthermore, the disclosed method operates with a noticeable energy saving and particularly allows to avoid totally the use of heating oils as energy source. The protein obtained by said method is of high quality and may be used in food products for human beings and for cattle foddering.
