abstract An analog-to-digital converter has a first and a second switch (21:26) for alternating sampling of a first and a second analog switch, respectively a first and a second integrator (22:27) , each producing a variable integrated voltage in response to the supplied first and second sampled analog signals, respectively, a direct current source (32) supplying direct current to the first integrator (22) when the first switch (21) is in the off state and supplying direct current to the second integrator (27) when the second switch (26) is in the off state, and a digital signal generator (34, 35) supplied alternately with an output comparing to a preselected voltage the voltage output of the first or second integrator when they are crossed by the direct current, thus making it possible to obtain from the generator (34, 35) a corresponding digital signal due to the period of time between the instant when direct current is applied to the first or second integrator and the instant when the output voltage of the first or second integrator reaches a preselected value.
