In a method of treating prostheses essentially composed of a biologically active material (1), selected surface areas (4; 10, 12; 16) are subjected to a process of biological inactivation. As a result, a biologically inert additive (S (+)) or sustractive (S (-)) layer is created in these areas. The invention relates to the chemical parameters of the process, as well as to the chemism of the insulating layers obtained by the process described above and to examples of embodiments of the process. |
