abstract | A robot wrist is mounted on the end of the robot arm and is bent into an arched shape as needed. When tilt motors are mounted in the wrist knuckles to allow the robot wrist to bend into an arched shape, the entire robot wrist becomes bulky and heavy. This wrist is designed so that the force required to bend the wrist into the arched shape is sequentially transmitted to the regions corresponding to the wrist joints, and wrist gears are provided for this purpose within the wrist frame. |
