Method and apparatus for improving the nutrient by passing it through a microwave zone (work area) at an appropriately selected moisture content and at an appropriate feed rate using means of transport known. In a first step, if necessary, the nutritious food is conditioned to give it the desired moisture content and can also be flavored afterwards before subjecting it to this microwave treatment, under continuous movement. If desired, further processing such as grinding, roasting, drying, preserving can also be carried out. The equipment according to the invention comprises a packaging chamber, a microwave work area, and a continuously operating conveyor, such as a gravity, vibration, or conveyor path. |
