The granules obtained consist essentially of a core and a pesticide enclosed by a plurality of layers of a membrane-like coating to allow slow release of this pesticide on contact with water. Preferably, the pesticide is applied to a core of each particle which may be fertilizer or an inert carrier material. In certain embodiments, carbofuran, molinate, or malathion, for example, is applied to an inert core and the whole is coated or coated with these layers with a coating consisting of a polymer of a conjugated diene and a radical of a polyunsaturated fatty acid. A process for producing these granules is also described. Methods for killing insects with these granules are described. |
