abstract |
New thermodynamic working fluids with main application to reciprocating Stirling cycle thermal machines, which fluids have a higher dynamic heat transfer coefficient than hydrogen or helium, and are both chemically inert and easily liquefied . A new power level control subsystem (Fig. 4) based on the thermodynamic properties of these fluids is described, and is intended to be used in conjunction with Stirling cycle machines; this new design considerably simplifies the procedures for changing the average working pressure of the system, and therefore the instantaneous level of power of such machines during their operation. |
