abstract |
Hydroformylation process using a catalyst containing rhodium for the preparation of aldehydes, essentially those having relatively high proportions of a branched isomer. These aldehydes are prepared by hydroformylation of an olefin in a liquid solvent with a mixture of hydrogen and carbon monoxide in the presence of the catalyst to form a liquid composition. At least part of this liquid composition is brought into contact with an oxygen-containing gas to recover the gaseous adheyde by distillation and then it is distilled at a temperature of 120 ° C. or less. The liquid composition obtained from distillation can be recycled to the hydroformylation reaction. |
