An apparatus (1) allows the continuous conversion of feathers, hair, and other keratin materials into usable products, and it comprises a first container (1) which is lined and can heat the material inside without pressurize it, vanes (9) arranged to violently stir the material in the container while passing through it, a second container (17), a pump (12) interconnected between the two containers and ensuring the transfer of the fluidized material originating from the first container (2) into the second container (17) while preventing pressure leaks from the second container from returning to the first, the second container being lined and capable of heating the fluidized material and flowing inside at high temperatures while stirring it to carry out its hydrolysis, and another pump (25) connected to the outlet of the second container to carry out the continuous discharge of the material thus hydrolyzed and part of the press on, this second container continuously hydrolyzing a new material entering this second container while creating an additional pressure so as to maintain the desired pressure and temperature inside this second container. |
