abstract A quick-acting, injectable insulin preparation of low antigenicity is obtained by a chromatographic process during which the insulin is transferred to an eluant consisting of the same carrier medium as forms part of the desired insulin preparation, or one or more components of said carrier medium. The insulin-containing eluate is admixed with any residual medium components and is adjusted to the desired pH and insulin concentration to provide the finished insulin preparation.
