abstract |
(Alpha)-D-Galacturonide derivatives, represented by the following general formula (I), and the salts thereof, as well as late blight-controlling agents containing them as effective ingredients. (FORMULA) (wherein R1 represents an alkyl group containing 1-8 carbon atoms, alkenyl group containing 2-8 carbon atoms, cycloalkyl group containing 3-8 carbon atoms, aryl group, or 5- or 6-membered unsaturated hetero ring residue; R2 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; and A represents an oxygen atom or sulphur atom. The hydroxyl group bound to the carbon atom in the4-position of the galacturonide skeleton and the hydrogen atom bound to the carbon atom in the 5-position may be eliminated to form a double bond between the 4- and 5-positions).
