abstract Glaucoma treatment can be performed using an intraocular shunt inserter to deliver an intraocular shunt. The shunt can have at least one flow path having an inner diameter of about 50 μm and about 70 μm and between about 170 μm to about 260 μm. The inserter can carry the intraocular shunt within a 27 Gauge needle having a lumen with an inner diameter of between about 220 to about 280 μm. Embodiments of these systems and related procedures can safely and significantly lower glaucoma patient's intraocular pressure and reduce the number of antiglaucoma medications.
