abstract | The present invention discloses a lithium secondary battery (10) which is provided with: a positive electrode (11) that contains a positive electrode active material which is capable of absorbing and desorbing lithium ions; a negative electrode (12) that is provided with a negative electrode collector; a separator (13) that is arranged between the positive electrode (11) and the negative electrode (12); and a nonaqueous electrolyte that has lithium ion conductivity. At the negative electrode, lithium metal is precipitated during charging, while lithium metal is dissolved during discharging. The oxygen content in the negative electrode collector is 50 ppm or less; and the negative electrode collector has a break strength of 300 MPa or less and an elongation at break of 4% or more. |
