titleOfInvention Method for monitoring an electrochemical cell unit by acoustic analysis
abstract The invention relates to a method for monitoring an electrochemical cell unit (1, 49, 53) for converting electrochemical energy into electrical energy as a fuel cell unit (1) and/or for converting electrical energy into electrochemical energy as an electrolysis cell unit (49) having stacked electrochemical cells (2, 50, 52), the method comprising the following steps: emitting sound waves and conducting the emitted sound waves through the electrochemical cell unit (1, 49, 53) such that the sound waves propagate in the electrochemical cell unit (1, 49, 53); reflecting the emitted sound waves on components and/or process fluids and/or deposits in a stack (61) of the electrochemical cell unit (1, 49, 53); receiving the reflected sound waves in at least one sound receiving unit and the received sound waves are converted into sound data in the at least one sound receiving unit (67, 68, 69, 70); in a computing unit, determining at least one parameter of the electrochemical cell unit (1, 49, 53) from the sound data.
