abstract | The present application belongs to the field of data storage. Provided is a method for performing data storage by using DNA. The method comprises: extracting a binary sequence corresponding to data to be stored; converting the binary sequence into a base sequence according to a preset mapping relationship; segmenting the base sequence into a plurality of core sequences of a preset first length; splicing the core sequences and a linker sequence which is used for marking a sequence direction, so as to obtain a sequence block; searching, in a pre-synthesized DNA molecule library, for a DNA sequence matching the sequence block, and taking a pre-determined number of synthesized DNA molecules which correspond to an extracted DNA sequence, and amplifying same to obtain a DNA product; and storing the DNA product obtained by means of amplification, and corresponding key information. By means of the method in the present application, the cost of performing data storage by using DNA can be reduced, thereby facilitating an improvement in the wide application of a storage device based on a DNA medium. |
