The present invention provides a nickel zinc secondary battery which has a significantly improved calender life. This nickel zinc secondary battery is provided with an airtight container in which a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator that is interposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, and an electrolyte solution are arranged. This nickel zinc secondary battery is also provided with an oxygen absorption material within the airtight container at a position where oxygen generated at the positive electrode is able to be absorbed thereby. |
