abstract | Provided is a rubber composition for tires which can attain a satisfactory balance among fuel-saving performance, wet performance, and wear resistance. The rubber composition for tires comprises diene-based rubbers, silica, a silane coupling agent, a fatty acid metal salt, and an alkylsilane, wherein the diene-based rubbers include 60-95 mass% specific conjugated-diene rubber obtained by reacting a polyorganosiloxane with an active end of an active-end-containing conjugated-diene-based polymer chain comprising a polymer block A, which comprises 80-95 mass% isoprene and 5-20 mass% aromatic vinyl and has an active end and a weight-average molecular weight of 500-15,000, and a polymer block B, which comprises 1,3-butadiene and an aromatic vinyl and has an active end, the polymer block A and the polymer block B being directly connected to each other, and the silica includes 55-90 parts by mass of silica having a CTAB-adsorption specific surface area of 185 m2/g or greater. |
