abstract Provided is a production method capable of easily and efficiently producing a fluorohydrocarbon by gas-phase flow without using a catalyst. This method for producing a fluorohydrocarbon includes, after continuously supplying a gaseous fluorine-containing inorganic compound to an electric discharge region in a plasma device, transitioning the inorganic compound to outside the electric discharge region in the plasma device, and then continuously supplying, to outside the electric discharge region of the plasma device, a compound represented by formula 1: CH3-R (where R is a hydrogen atom, a chlorine atom, a bromine atom, an iodine atom, or an organic group (excluding a hydrocarbon group)) and a raw material gas including an inert gas, and then continuously discharging the gas included outside the electric discharge region of the plasma device to outside the plasma device.
