abstract A layered electronic device, for example a flexible haptic feedback device is disclosed. The layered electronic device may include a stack including first and second electroactive polymer (EAR) layers. Each of the first and second EAR layers may include an EAR material. A substantial portion thereof each of the first and second EAR layers, may be particle free. The stack may further include an electroactive composite layer disposed in between the first and second EAR layers, the electroactive composite layer including a thickness along a first direction. The electroactive composite layer may include a polymer matrix which may further include particles. A method for producing a layered electronic device is further disclosed. The method may include providing a substrate and forming a stack. The stack may be formed by: depositing a first EAR layer material, depositing an EAR composite layer composition, and depositing a second EAR layer material.
