titleOfInvention Geopolymer foams based on ceramic materials
abstract The present invention suggests geopolymer foam formulation comprising an inorganic binder, a ceramic material, an alkaline activator, an alkyl polyglucoside, a gas phase and water. Moreover, it relates to a process for the manufacture of such formulation by means of mechanical and/or chemical foaming as well as to a process for the manufacture of a hardened geopolymer foam therefrom. It also relates to a geopolymer foam element comprising said hardened geopolymer foam. Finally, the present invention relates to the use of ceramic materials for substituting fly ashes in geopolymer foam formulations. The ceramic material is preferably brick dust.
