titleOfInvention | Method of cultivating aerobic methane-assimilating microorganisms |
abstract | The invention relates to biotechnology. The invention relates to biotechnology. Proposed is a method of cultivating aerobic methane-assimilating Methylococcus capsulatus microorganisms in a continuous flow mode with a constant rate of culture fluid removal and with a mineral medium flow rate of from 0.25 h-1 to 0.35 h-1, at 41-44°C, a pH of 5.4-5.8 and an optimal flow rate of a gas-air mixture of methane:air in a ratio of 1:3, wherein, with respect to the composition of the nutrient medium, nickel is additionally added and up to 10% of water is replaced by culture medium centrate; the concentration of the components of the mineral feed is determined according to the given flow rate D of the medium and the planned yield Y of the cultivation process, using a specific formula. The invention provides for an increase in the yield of a process for synthesizing a biomass in bioreactors with different mass transfer characteristics, while scaling up the process of prolonged cultivation. |
