titleOfInvention Fuse element
abstract Provided is a fuse element capable of interrupting an electric circuit while suppressing the formation for carbides when an abnormal electric circuit is generated. The fuse element includes an insulating substrate 3, a conductor layer 1 provided on a surface of the substrate 3, and an insulating protective layer 4 provided on a surface of the conductor layer 1, wherein the protective layer 4 has a specific heat at least equal to 1.1 J∙g-1∙K-1, and a specific gravity at least equal to 1.0 g∙cm-3.
