abstract | The present invention makes it possible to perform quick, steady, and uniform defrosting in accordance with the status of a vehicle. The present invention provides a vehicular air conditioner equipped with: a refrigerant circuit that comprises a compressor for compressing a refrigerant, an outdoor heat exchanger for performing heat exchange between the refrigerant and outside air, and a heat-absorbing heat exchanger for causing the refrigerant to absorb heat from a heat absorption object; and a control device for controlling the refrigerant circuit. The control device is capable of selectively executing multiple defrosting modes which include a hot-gas defrosting mode for defrosting the outdoor heat exchanger by use of the refrigerant compressed by the compressor, and a heat-absorbing defrosting mode for defrosting the outdoor heat exchanger by heat absorption from the heat absorption object and by use of the refrigerant compressed by the compressor. The control device has set therein a selection condition for preferentially selecting and executing the heat-absorbing defrosting mode and a switching condition for executing the hot-gas defrosting mode by switching thereto from the heat-absorbing defrosting mode. |
