abstract |
The disclosure relates to a sensor and method for the detection of TDP-43. A sensor may comprise at least one working electrode having a working electrode surface; at least one counter electrode having a counter electrode surface; and at least one sample receiving zone configured to receive a liquid test sample between the working electrode surface and the counter electrode surface, such that the liquid test sample completes an electrical circuit between the at least one working electrode and the at least one counter electrode. The working electrode surface may comprise amorphous carbon. The methods of detecting TDP-43 may comprise applying an electrical signal to the sensor circuit, monitoring changes in the electrical properties of the circuit and detecting TDP-43 based on the monitored electrical properties. |
