titleOfInvention | Hangover-free alcohol and process for producing same |
abstract | The invention relates to the field of the food industry. The present hangover-free alcohol is a composition produced by physical and chemical means and consisting of ethanol and polyphenolic compounds sufficient to provide effective, anti-toxic, non-enzymatic, antioxidant, polyphenolic, synergetic protection. The hangover-free alcohol differs from all spirits and alcoholic beverages in its exclusive ability to bind to and eliminate from the body congeners and free radicals of acetaldehyde formed during the metabolism of ethanol in the liver. The essence of a process for producing the claimed hangover-free alcohol lies in introducing polyphenolic compounds in a sufficient quantity into a ready-made alcohol or at any stage in the alcohol production process. The introduction of one ingredient of the composition into the other can be carried out by any one of the following three methods: macerating polyphenol-containing raw material in spirits or alcoholic beverages, followed or not by distillation; mechanically introducing polyphenolic extracts into spirits or alcoholic beverages, followed or not by distillation; blending hangover-free alcohol with ordinary alcohol. |
