The paint described herein corresponds to a biocidal paint containing metallic copper nanoparticles or nanoparticulate metallic copper (Cu0) which, unlike known biocidal paints, maintains all its drying, opacity or brilliance and resistance properties, as well as the feature of maintaining its biocidal properties throughout the useful life of the paint, like the paints currently available on the market. In particular, the present invention relates to a biocidal paint comprising copper nanoparticles, at least one in-can biocide, water, at least one anti-foaming additive, wherein the paint is completed with at least one resin and wherein the paint has a density between 1.00-1.40 g/ml and a pH between 8.0 and 9.5. |
