abstract The present invention relates to crosslinked polymer coatings which provide the lubrication of the inner surface of a cartridge used as an intermediary for the implantation of intraocular lenses (IOL) in order to replace the natural lens with an artificial lens after removal of the natural lens that has lost its transparency in cataract surgery, in order to facilitate the delivery of the intraocular lens. The objective of the invention is to develop a coating which will enable the intraocular lens (IOL) to be easily implanted through the cartridge without damaging it, remains stable during its long shelf life, and is flexible and lubricious.
