abstract |
The invention relates to a catalyst system supported on a porous inorganic support, wherein the catalyst system is based at least on a rare-earth metallocene and on an organomagnesium compound, and also to the method for preparing same by impregnation. The use thereof in the polymerization of ethylene and the copolymerization of ethylene with α-olefins in the gas phase enables the synthesis of high-molecular-weight semicrystalline polyolefins in the form of polymer particles of well-controlled morphology, in particular the synthesis of ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylenes, UHMWPE. |
