abstract | The present invention relates to a product that can be used to protect concrete and other construction materials, which is able to waterproof or super waterproof the material to be treated. The product is able to penetrate into substrates with nanometric pores. The mixture is produced by simply mixing, using ultrasound, an oligomeric ethyl silicate, an alkyl triethoxysilane, a polydimethylsiloxane and n-octylamine. When required, particles are added to provide the product with super water-repellent properties. |
