abstract |
The present invention provides a highly reliable battery which is capable of significantly reducing deterioration of a layered double hydroxide-like (LDH-like) compound contained in the battery, while exhibiting excellent alkali resistance. This battery is provided with: a positive electrode; a negative electrode; an electrolyte solution which is an aqueous solution of an alkali metal hydroxide; and a layered double hydroxide-like (LDH-like) compound which is provided so as to be able to be in contact with the electrolyte solution. A metal compound which contains at least one metal element that constitutes the LDH-like compound is dissolved in the electrolyte solution so as to suppress erosion of the LDH-like compound by the electrolyte solution. |
