titleOfInvention Ammonium chloride formulation to support human natural defense against viruses
abstract Formulations and uses thereof are provided for supporting human natural defense against viral infections as well as providing treatment for viral infections susceptible to a lysosomotropic agent. Administration of a lysosomotropic agent, such as ammonium chloride (MLCl), can militate against the uncoating of viruses within the lysosome of an infected cell and thereby minimize infection by viruses whose replication cycle relies upon an uncoating step in such a manner.
